Seashores!
Which is almost better than sea whores, but not quite^_^ So, I returned from California today. I've decided that walking into the Edmonton international airport is just about the best thing ever. It just feels lovely to see all the signs in two languages and go "I'm Canadian Bitches!!!!!" It's a nice feeling.
We had a lovely time in California, with much visiting of family, and touring of prettyness. We went to the beach one day, which was BY FAR the highlight of the trip. Coolest thing I've done in a long time. I could go into detail, but suffice to say that ocean=awesome on every level.
We also went into San Fransisco for a day, which was pretty cool. Shopping on Fisherman's Wharf was pretty excellent. We then took a ferry to Alcatraz...that was nice. Alcatraz itself, however...not so much. For those of you that don't know, Alcatraz was a federal penitentiary, housing such notorious criminals as Al Capone, and George "the Gunman" Kelly. It's situated on an island, and there is only one way off....into the freezing north pacific. It is desolate, lonely, and depressing. We took an audio tour of the cellhouse that scared the shit out of me, then got on the ferry and went back to the wharf. All in all, a...chilling experience.
So, California was beautiful and green, but I'm happy to be home in time for final exams...:( Luckily, when we're done finals, it's sleepover time! Huzzah for jelly and whuppy^_^ So, happy days to you all, good luck with studying, or whatever path your lives are on at the moment!
