There are usually way too many shows to cover this season, but the minute I saw the Christian Dior show in Paris, I knew I had to do it. Following in the vein of his amazing American West/equestrian-inspired couture show in January, John Galliano took that same idea and adapted it into a more wearable, and slightly more "masculine" show: boy caps, trousers, and tough, dark leatherwork. These more androgynous looks were balanced out by feminine flowy chiffon tops, frilly knitwear looks (an unexpected trend this season), and beautiful, detailed beading and lacework on flowy georgette gowns.
