What we have yet to see...

I see these things when I close my eyes. They are thins you haven't seen yet, but probably will based on the direction we as a society - as a species - are going at the moment. Well, let's get started...

- A doctor being sued because his "over-care" caused the complete recovery of his patient. The patient was then unable to collect on his unemployment insurance and had to return to work in the face of mounting personal expenses.

- The MPAA finds a message on an online bulletin board where one man tells another he can come over and retrieve his DVD collection, saying that he was done with them. They promptly file a lawsuit against the man for "non-online, manual-distribution video piracy" and spend six months in court suing the man for 250K for every DVD he "acquired" on the basis that they were not purchased by the defendant. After several months, the man is acquitted of any wrong doing, but spends over two years trying to get the MPAA to cover his 50K in court costs. They have yet to respond to him or his attorneys, and are apparently filing a similar lawsuit against the man's friend.

- A high school / college campus gunman taken alive.

Let me know if you have seen any of these. They will be removed from my list, and I will weep for every one removed.
