And now, a cure for the common cold...

Gentlemen! BEHOLD!!

MY SUPER-SPICY SAMMICH!!!

This is a neat little combination I found at Subway, and features one of the best things about Subway sandwiches: as many toppings as you want!

Base: Whole Wheat Bread - Need some bread with some OOMPH, otherwise it will get soggy and your sandwich will fall apart.

General Sandwich: Club - Honey ham, smoked turkey, and thin-sliced roast beef

Cheese: Pepper Jack - Hey, why not start with the kick in the teeth?

Toppings:
+ Shredded Lettuce - Gives that lovely "crunch" to the sandwich
+ Pickles - Not the sweet kind, get the kind that have been marinading in the spicy juice. I've actually found baby dills that have been mixed with jalapeño extract, but you'd have to cut them yourself. Adds a little extra crunch.
+ Jalapeños - Now we're getting spicy!
+ Black Olives - Juiciness
+ At most ONE other type of pepper, you'll see why below...

Spices / Flavorings:
+ Spicy Mustard - Get the brown mustard, spicier the better
+ Chipolte Sauce - A little bit of southwestern flavor never hurt nobody
+ Black Pepper - Fine ground peppercorn works the best

And, since I'm enjoying my Christmas present so much, I might add in WITH the black ground pepper some of the homemade serano chile powder Angel's dad gave me. (*NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM*)

Slice in half (diagonally if using sliced bread) and enjoy.

Oh, and... put down the drink...

Trust me; it won't help...

As a disclaimer: 1) This has not been endorsed by the FDA to cure a head cold, but it WILL clear your sinuses in a hurry; and, 2) While it may at least "help" a head cold, it will more than likely give you a terrible case of the hiccups.
