Things are still pretty wet over here in Taiwan, even after last night's torrential rain. The good news is that the typhoon was nothing but a HUGE anti-climax. After all that hype, we didn't even hear or see any storm (and we were up until 3am!). I'm convinced that my telephone is possessed! It's developed an annoying habit to switch to speaker-phone on its own. If it's left too long you get that sound that the phone makes when you fail to dial a number, which can be VERY loud. This has happened several times today and even woke Sander and myself up at 3:30am! We thought it was the fire ( Read more... )

Seems that the best part of the Dragon Boat Festival here in Taiwan has actually happened this weekend without my knowledge. The 'official' holiday is on the 31st May but I found out today that the international competition was this weekend.
