My last trip to Penang was more than a decade ago, in which I was brought there by work. The island left a good impression on me, even though my colleague and I only had the after-work hours to ourselves.

Taiwan is gaining up on Thailand as the country I most often visit. I've come to the end of my 5th trip here, as I now await for my flight back home at Taoyuan international airport. The cafe I patronise is unusually packed today hence I had to take out my Americano and have it on the row of seats en route to the departure gate.

It must have been my 30th time to Bangkok or something. Bangkok's a wonderful weekend getaway for great food, affordable shopping, and invigorating massages. It's little wonder why I run into fellow Singaporeans whichever weekend I find myself there. Malaysia's somewhere I used to visit twice a year, mostly as a weekend getaway of sorts. I'd wander around the few familiar places, browsing at my own pace, just spending good quality time.

最近不知怎么搞得，似乎有点容易 emo. 在从台北飞回新加坡的飞机上，看了两集的《康熙来了》。其中，邀请了杨宗伟和梁文音。嬉闹了一阵子后，杨宗伟唱了一首励志的《祝你幸福》。这首歌曾是小S爸爸生前拿来当了多年的手机铃声。小S思念爸爸，不禁痛哭流泪。我自己面颊也跟着湿了。刚好服务生这时来问要些什么饮料。我低头挥挥手。我想她应该有看到我 cui 的样子。

Solo trips was something I started doing since my late 20s; that is if I exclude those day trips made to JB in my late teens. However my courage (or lack thereof) has not been able to take me beyond Southeast Asia, to which my excuse of preferring a traveling companion on longer trips has sounded most believable.
