Once he finished with his own moment of remembrance Kevas stepped away from the graves and stood beside the table. Now he would just supervise the occasion for the others. Everyone here deserved this moment, even the worst of them, though Kevas would be surprised if people like Tony and Ganondorf even cared about others than themselves.
For the moment he refrained from the wine. That was for the other attendants, at least for now. He might have been showing restraint now but if there was anything left once this was all over he'd eagerly snatch it up.
So there Kevas stood, ready to answer a question if needed or stop trouble before it started.
Talia had remained to one side while Kevas made his peace and only after he'd moved aside did she make her way to him. She comes up from the side, her hand sliding along his arm until she stands alongside him.
"This is a good thing you've done, beloved," she says softly. She knows it wasn't something he did for praise, but for all of those that lost something when not only The End came, but whatever force Lord Deior had taken them from as well.
Once he felt her nearby, Kevas lost interest on what was going on around him. There was a reason he called her here but know he was starting to wonder if there was a better time for this. Too late now though, he already said he had something he wanted to talk about and he wasn't about to chicken out now.
"I hope so," he replied. His hand went to his side, feeling the necklace in his pocket just to make sure it was still there.
Talia can't tell exactly what has Kevas tense, but in just touching his arm it's more than apparent. She moves in so she is against his side, her arm sliding around his back where she runs her fingers in small circles.
She watches those as they gather, each offering their own form of grief to those lost or their memories. Some arrive and remain in the background, but she thinks no less of they that do so. To each is their own sense of grief and their own form of mourning.
She leans her head against his arm, nodding once more. "It is .. You might not have many tell you such, but it is." There is no doubt in her voice as she says it.
"As long as joo be t'inkin' dat den it be wort' it." His own arm slid around her shoulders as he spoke. Loa knows she been through just as much as he had. If it could help her in the slightest that it wasn't a waste of time

Talia leans into his arm as it encircles her shoulders, relaxing into him as she would no other. There is a comfortable silence that stretches between them as she watches the others arrive and offer their own prayers and trinkets

Kevas can only smile as he watches her reaction to the necklace. He loves this. He loves her. As the bond between them opens and the wave of emotions hit him, he can't be any happier than he is now. There's nothing in the world he would trade for this feeling. Some people thought of this event as a dark day of mourning, but Kevas sees it as something beautiful, especially right now

As her lips nearly crush into his, Talia can only swim in the sea of exultation that becomes their bond to one another. She had never hoped to have this opportunity again after losing Dirk and Rolan, but it seemed that the Goddess still watched over her Heralds; even as scattered and lost as they might be. Talia was blessed, in every sense of the word, and as Kevas' arms encircle her she surrenders herself to everything that he offers in body and spirit.
She'd breathe him, if it was physically possible to do so; she'd sink into his soul and never surface again, although what she's got with him is pretty much just that.
As they finally break apart, her eyes find and hold his, joy unlike anything she's known moving through her heart and coiling in her stomach. She nods, her gaze breaking from his briefly, and lifts it again as his finger touches her chin softly.
"I'd have never survived without you, Kevas," she returns softly, and with no trace of melodrama. "There would have been nothing to survive for if not for you, but we did ..

Her words make his heart swell and cause his soul to fly. Perhaps this whole thing is a foolish idea but he doesn't care. Talia is his mate, his wife, his everything. Without her, well he can't even imagine what his life would be like. He doesn't want to imagine what his left would be like. She's as much a part of him now as the heart that beats in his chest
