I think everyone probably thinks they have bad things in their life whether the bad things are very bad or mildly annoying. A friend once told me that HER friend, who was fabulously wealthy and had a great life was always depressed, and when she was asked why, said despairingly, "There's DANDELIONS in my lawn!" (I love dandelions).

I think you're right - we do tend to focus on the bad things, but it's how you deal with that that counts (and some people just like having things to moan about LOL!). Its sad that for some people minor stuff is too hard to cope with :(

The astronomical society sounds interesting. I always equate Astronomy with maths and run away screaming but learning about stars and planets sounds fun, though the opportunities for observing them round here with all the light pollution are probably rather limited.

It was interesting - and they hold an observation evening once a month in a village about 8 miles away so less light! I’m not sure we will be able to go to those sometimes as it clashes with Pilates but we’re going to consider joining the group.
