An exhibition revisit!

Today's forecast 17C/61F partly cloudy, which wasn't quite right as it was quite sunny!

Today I went up to see the Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature exhibition at the V&A again. I took one of my other friends as I have a membership for two and she wanted to see it. The friend I went with last time tends to whiz around exhibitions, and I felt like I' ( Read more... )

I love that study of the frieze - amazing.

Her animal sketches are beautiful, aren't they? Hadn't realised about the dissection though.

When I was up in the Lake District I didn't get the time to go to her place, although it had been on my list of "hopefuls"

It’s so impressive that she was so young! I did Art O level at that age and I couldn’t draw like that!

She had some really good drawings of insects and other animals too.

She was such a good artist and observer of the natural world. We also have her to thank for saving large chunks of the Lake District. Looks a fascinating exhibition.
