Saturday's forecast was sunshine all day! The forecast was 16C/60F, but it felt much warmer and our garden thermometer said 18C/64F. Mr Cee was in the garden in his T-shirt LOL! We went out early to one of the local garden centres where they already have their Christmas shop open! *eyeroll*. So we checked out the decorations and I did buy a small candle holder because it was soooo pretty!
When we got home we spent some time in the garden getting it ready for the Autumn and tidying up. Things are starting to look a bit straggly, so they were trimmed back. It's still looking good though! The rest of the afternoon I spent making a veggie lasagne (fiddly but worth it). I made twice as much filling as I needed so we can have that as a sauce another day.
The rest of the day we watched TV because we could :)
Sunday - we woke up to a tiny bit of frost which disappeared very quickly to be replaced by bright sunshine (18C/64F). So we set off for a walk through some woodland we've walked through but never really explored. It was a good three and half mile walk through the sunshine - the area is one of Scientific Interest as it supports a rich variety of ancient woodland trees, shrubs and herbs which grows on London clay and so it's protected from development. Right at the end there was a little clump of cyclamen which looked very pretty, but I suspect the seeds had blown in from someone's garden nearby....
We walked around three and a half miles which was good and in a moment I need to get on with making lunch which will be
slow cooked courgette (zucchini) pasta as that's a favourite and I have lots of courgettes! This afternoon we'll catch up with some TV and in the meantime I have questions:
8. What TV show has a theme song or opening credits sequence that you really love? Feel free to name more than one if you want!
I love so many opening themes and credit sequences! They are often tiny movies in their own right and anyone who does the quizzes I've written for
writerconuk will know I love to look at these and set them as questions. Under the cut for some of my favourites and links to the videos where I could.
I adore themes, so forgive me and allow me to add ALL THE THINGS! LOL!
Professor T opening theme - I find myself humming this so often recently. I love the melody which just goes where you don't expect. I wish I could find the visuals that go with this.
Elementary - just perfect visuals and music.
