Actual weather - up to around 22C/72F and sunny this morning but mostly cloudy this afternoon and quite humid. We are forecast rain all weekend and a mixed bag of weather next week, but a heatwave that was promised has (once again) not happened....
Last night we had rain overnight which woke me up and I took ages to get back to sleep which was annoying as I was tired. So this morning - after I'd hung the washing on the line - I spent some time sitting in the garden and read the end of my book (who was it that recommended The Left-Handed Booksellers of London by Garth Nix to me??).
This afternoon I spent in my glass studio playing with a new soldering iron I treated myself to and tidying up in there. I also replaced some glass panels in a lantern I bought from Ikea ages ago with some fancy glass I had hanging around. I think it's pretty!
Once Mr Cee finished work we went quickly to get some groceries as I had a really weird selection of vegetables in my veg box this week and I was stumped what to do with some of it. So a few extra ingredients were bought and then we went to a garden centre and came away with a couple of lovely pink/orange echinacea which will be planted tomorrow.
Now it's Friday so we're watching The Bidding Room (they're bidding on some Star Wars memorabilia which is fun!).

I've been really lazy this week and not done much cooking, but I did bake bread on Wednesday morning, and I baked some potatoes yesterday for lunch with some salad LOL!
Our local numbers are going down - there are 3702 estimated cases in my borough and that's down 263 from last week. There are only 7 people in hospital at the moment which is also good news.
This afternoon I was 'pinged' on my NHS app which told me that on Wednesday I had been near someone who has since tested positive for Covid. As that was the day we were out in London I have no idea where that happened as I would have had to be near someone for at least 15 minutes. So it could be the train, or the walk we did, or the restaurant we ate in, or the train home.
The App wanted me to fill in a short questionnaire asking me if I was vaccinated (and if it is more than 15 days ago) and if I am over 18. It then said I could get a PCR test if I wanted to (as it's not a government requirement for vaccinated people now). However - instead I've done a lateral flow test and that's negative. I will do another one tomorrow to be sure, but I have absolutely no symptoms and people we were near on the train were all masked up (as were we), so I very much doubt we are infectious. We're not going to be in close contact with anyone else for ages and it's second nature to keep our distance and wear our masks these days....
Mr Cee got 'pinged' later in the day, and it was really difficult to find out where we had been exposed as the notification is hidden in 'Settings' - 'Other data'..... not the most obvious of places to find the information *eyeroll*
