fionnabhar *sadface* - thank you for all the 365 memes

Yesterday was a day of rest after a Wednesday's tough Pilates class and a three and a half mile Nordic walk (mostly uphill). I woke up tired, so I did some baking and generally relaxed.  Interestingly my SI joint has been very happy since the Pilates classes. Probably because we did a lot of work using the lower back in exercises which we rarely do in my regular class. I suspect this is because the general age of the regular class is 60+ and not many of them could do all the exercises safely (or don't have the flexibility to do them).  It's made such difference to how I feel! The new teacher has next week off, but I'm going to keep with her until the end of April and see if the benefit continues.

Today started early as I woke up at 6am and Zero was very happy that I got up to feed him (purring at his food always makes me laugh!). Unlike yesterday I feel like I've had enough sleep for the day.  This morning was spent sorting out stuff for my pensions (ack!) and going through emails. I was convinced I'd bought a book and it hadn't arrived, but I think I must thought about buying it and done nothing about it as I can't find an email about it anywhere! LOL!

I have no plans for this afternoon which is a shame as I was hoping to catch up with friend this week, but no-one has got back to me and it's not been warm enough to sit outside anyway (which is all we are permitted to do). Maybe that's why they haven't replied *sigh*. Honestly? I thought I had more friends - they all seem to be too busy to get together with me these days - or maybe it's just the general ennui after all this lockdown stuff :(

Anyhoo - there's thefridayfive to do!

1) Do you like to drive?
I do - although I haven't been driving much as we haven't really been out in the car exept to go to the supermarket if we want to buy large things that are too heavy to carry. Mr Cee always automatically heads to the driver's side of the car (not that I mind). I definitely don't like driving on motorways though. People are idiots on motorways....
2) Do you own (or have regular use of) a car? What kind is it?
We have two cars. A Smart car which is 4 years old. It's cute, useful for parking in small awkward places, cheap to run and costs very little in petrol as it's very economical (in normal times we fill it up once every 3 or 4 weeks, lately it's been every 6 weeks). We use it for local journeys and we will probably own this one until it falls apart as it suits us. We also have an electric Leaf which we've just upgraded from our previous one which we had for 3 years. This one will travel up to 250 miles between charges and as we have solar panels it charges up for free. We were pleased with the previous one, but this one is going to be more useful for longer journeys, not that we have to worry about charging on the road - the infrastructure for that is pretty good now.
3) What is your favorite optional feature on a car?
Heated seats! Both our cars have heated seats which are lovely in the winter (also lovely if you have a bad back LOL!)
4) How much does gasoline currently cost where you live?
It's around £1.18 per litre. Which equates to around £5.50 per gallon ($7.50 in US dollars). This is why we have a tiny car and an electric car :)
5) What is the longest car trip you have taken?
We drove up to Scotland once. That's around 420 miles each way from the SE of the UK. We stopped half way overnight both ways as Eldest Cee was 3 and Youngest Cee was only 6 months old and they needed to have a break.

I also have 365 meme questions:

8. What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Last night I watched a repeat of an old QIXL.
9. How often do you get hiccups?
I can't remember the last time I got hiccups, so I don't think I get them very often!

1 more weekend before all the shops open up again after being shut for over 90 days....

ETA: Prince Philip has died, and all the broadcast channels have dug out their obituary files and are churning out lots of stuff which they've had on file for many years.  I'm sure this will go on for several days.... and I feel very sorry for the Queen as they were married for a very long time. I'm sure they would prefer to have a very small private ceremony and go and hide away and grieve. Probably not going to be possible.
