2 days to a different Christmas (day 276 since the 1st lockdown)
Today started very early so I could collect my turkey and trimmings which I'd pre-ordered from our local large supermarket. I'd decided on an early pickup slot so Mr Cee drove me there and I got into the store at 7am. There were people leaving with trolleys full of food! Clearly I wasn't that early. There weren't that many people in the shop though and I didn't have to wait for my order, so it was easy peasy. I picked up a couple of other things and then headed home.
A friend popped round mid morning and we had a chat on the doorstep and exchanged gifts. Then at 11 I went down to pick up our Christmas meal from the restaurante we were going to meet friends at. Dropped the meal for our friend round to their house and then got home to find Youngest Cee had arrived. He is well, and we had a good catch up and a light lunch. The rest of the afternoon Mr Cee finished his working day, and I had a surprise delivery:
Some beautiful flowers from the bellydance mentor as a thank you for all my hard work this year! It was a lovely surprise!
This evening we have been Zooming and having a Christmas meal with our friends virtually. Their cat decided to join in (feed me! LOL!)
We've had a good day - Youngest Cee had the meal with us, so that was nice too. Now there's the Repair Shop, so we are relaxing...
Today's question: 23 Do you think you will be making any New Year’s resolutions in January?
Probably not, as I don't usually do that and I feel that any plans I might have this year will probably be cancelled anyway. I shall abide and I shall take each week as it comes :)
