3 days to go..... (275 since the first lockdown)

I have been sitting here wondering why I am finding things difficult at the moment and I've realised that in a normal dull winter I tend to pack my days with things to do out and about, I meet up with friends or I go out on my own and see an exhibition or something which tends to stave off my winter blues. Even if I'm not out and about I do lots of things at home which are noisy - like practicing a dance choreography or singing along to some dreadful musical on the TV or the radio while I'm baking. With Mr Cee working full time at home I can't really do that. It's frustrating. It's not his fault - thank goodness he can work at home, and we do get on so well and enjoy each other's company - but I'm always conscious that he's in the study working....

Anyhoo - I've been keeping myself busy today. I had a loooong meeting with the bellydance mentor which was only long because we ended up chatting about all kinds of things other than the tasks she had planned for me. I like her - it's nice to work with someone who is also a nice person. I think it helps we are about the same age. She showed me where she's hung the little stained glass bellydancer I made her (in her dance studio at home) and seems genuinely pleased with it.

Mr Cee and I had a more substatial lunch today - roasted cauliflower terrine - which was a recipe box from the people I buy my veggies from. it was delicious, and didn't take long to make either so I shall make it again. After lunch I had a couple of work things to do, but I did those between making some sourdough white loaves which I've put into the 'fridge to prove overnight. With some of the left over sourdough starter I made Italian herb crackers which I've not done before, and my goodness are they more-ish! I shall have to be very strong willed not to eat them all! I also made some mince pies, and with the leftover mincemeat I've made Christmas ice cream - so it was a satisfying baking afternoon.

Shortly we are going to have the last Pilates lesson of the year - we've swapped Mr Cee's usual Wednesday lesson to today because we're having our online Christmas lunch tomorrow with our friends, so we'll be eating a three course lunch later than usual (and that's not a good thing just before Pilates using a Swiss ball *g*).

So today's question is: 22 Are you a “peeker” about gifts, or do you prefer to be surprised?
I really like being surprised! I might prod something if it looks interesting, but I try and resist *g*
