I'm watching a movie a night. They carry "Suicide Club" and "Ichi the Killer", both which Keith suggested, but I only picked up the former for now. I'll watch it tonight. I also want to see
"Anonymously Yours". These kind of documentary films interest me a long as they don’t take the “All [insert gender, ethnic group, or religion] preachy tone.
Shot clandestinely in Myanmar (formerly known as Burma), Anonymously Yours weaves together with brutal honesty the stories of four Burmese women who tell of their life experiences in the dangerous world of sex trafficking in Southeast Asia. Sometimes shocking, often times harrowing, and almost always disturbing, these stories expose the commonplace bartering and selling of women and the cycles of poverty that enslave them.
And what a strange dream I had. It was one of those that take a small portion of reality and twist it such that when you wake you’re not sure if it really happened or not. The type to hide and avoid conflict publicly expressed their emotions and explained their actions without shifting the blame. It was so refreshing to see such a transformation and hear such honesty that when I woke I was disappointed it was just a dream. I suppose Hope burns eternal.
This is a darn good latte.
And "Thank you God" the two evil memos that have been plaguing my days for weeks were finally signed off and sent out. Rejoice!
EDIT: Watched "Itchi" and...Holy Hand Grenade, that was an odd movie. I...I don't get it. O_o
