1 of 50 crafty things in 2008
I decided, partially from the inspiration of sharmelon , to try to make 50 crafty things in 2008. Now, I don't think this will be too difficult (especially considering I finally decided to take only 1 Master's class this semester). The hard part though will to make sure I photograph and post all 50. If I make bento again this year, I think I could pass those off as crafty too, don't you think?
Here is my first project:
It's a robot mascot inspired by the Mechi-Panda from The Cute Book that I got for Christmas. It took me longer than I expected, and he came out larger than I anticipated, but he's an ok guy. This is probably one of the most impractical crafts I've made in awhile considering he can't be worn and he isn't a pressie. Josh says his name is Morris, although I said that was a cat name.
I caught Satine sleeping on one of my needlecraft books I had out while I was figuring out how to make a French knot. She just happened to roll over and yawn for me when I brought the camera. Tyra would have said she looked fierce!
And here's my little Kitty Loaf, or rather, Kiki Loaf. She was just hanging out waiting for me to get my felt and embroidery thread out of her sleeping space.
