My class has been having a hard time focusing during read aloud (when I read to them). Last year I had them sit quietly at their desks and for the most part it was ok, but I did have some students drawing and writing, but they weren't disruptive, so it wasn't a huge concern. I have been extremely uncrafty lately (although I finished a knitting project yesterday). I felt that my recent spike in baking crafts should be used towards my 50 projects this year challenge. In my quest to stash bust, and continue on my sewing spree, I whipped up a pair of PJ pants for Josh. It was a super fast project and they fit him perfectly. The silly thing is that they are Pokemon fabric. Like I said, stash busting. I had this fabric (like 3 yards of it) for years! I think I bought it when Pokemon was still pretty hot. Last night I picked out some fabric from my stash and made a top. The last top I started I never finished because 1. it was complicated, and 2. it was too small. But, this pattern looked simple enough, with only 5 pieces and no lining. It is a kimono style wrap top by McCalls. Tuesday was our 2 year anniversary. We've been doing our own modern take on the traditional gifts. Last year was paper and this year is cotton.
