Holy Grail

Since I've been a vegetarian I have not missed meat. Part of the reason is that there are excellent faux meats that taste yummy. But there has always been one thing that I have really missed . . . tuna salad. Right before I had become vegetarian (this was in high school) I discovered tuna salad on lettuce leaves. It was so tasty, and I have missed

I often have to take a plate I want to photo over to the window for a shot with some nice sunlight. Still not as nice light as outdoors though. Luckily our dining table (which we only use with company) is right by a window. You can also bump this photo up a lot with a photo editor (I wish I could attach pics directly), it's not all grainy like a lot of indoor pics.

I forgot to mention it was dark outside already, otherwise I would have had some awesome natural light. I also refuse to use flash, I am a flash hater. And I am not good with digital touch ups, plus I am lazy :P

I despise flash as well. If I ever do use it, I'll often cover it halfway so it's not so bright. I think there is the a way to actually lower the level, but at this point my camera is about to bite the dust so I'm not going to bother looking it up.

I have soft flash on one of my cameras, but it isn't much better than regular flash. I can't wait to get me a nice lovely SLR. I just have so many other things I have to buy/pay for first.

Justin said if I could save up the money I could get one for Christmas (which is like *way* over what we normally spend on each other for gifts), and I'd happily take that as my one gift 'from him'. Hopefully we can get the student loan this semester or else all of the savings are going to have to go towards classes once again.

I feel a little silly saying I hope we get the loan so I can get a camera, but it will really be better if we can put money towards credit cards for a while (like we were trying to do), instead of the classes, so we can get the cards paid off, and then we'll have plenty of extra money to pay off the loans (which will hopefully be interest-free or very low). And the camera is only about half of one class semester, so it's not that big of a dent!

I'm right there with you! I am taking 2 classes this semester, so double the tuition. Luckily the school offers a payment plan so I can pay it over a few months. But I could buy 2 Canon Rebels and a sweet lens with that tuition money! I'm telling myself the camera will be my graduation gift, but it would be an awesome present at the holidays! I'm also doing career ladder, but that extra money doesn't start to come for a few months.
