Oh LJ, how I have neglected you so. I feel so rushed when I make a "big" update, rather than more frequent ones. Oh well, better some than none

If she already likes Jane Austen she may enjoy it more than I did. Unless she is a die hard fan who would feel like the book was defaced :P
I've been frustrated with the weight loss, even though it's been 3 weeks, plus a week off for my trip to WA. I *know* that I have to be patient, but it so gosh darn hard. (Did I just use "gosh darn"?)
Yesterday I was reading about this "6 Word Diet". Basically you eat 12 meals in the day, every 90 minutes, and just 100 calories at each meal. The idea is to keep your metabolism going without going into starvation mode. But it seems awful difficult, and easy to not get proper nutrition. But, I do think snacking is a good idea, just not a whole bag of chips :P I've started snacking on pistachios. Only a few seems to kill my snacking need and get in the protein I am struggling with.
I have looked at exercise tv a bit, they have full length workouts on On Demand, which is nice. I really want to lose weight this time around. I've always been this size, since high school. But I was never "skinny", and I know that if people can lose hundreds of pounds, I can lose 30. I just need to stay focused!!!
I'm trying not to feel frustrated because I've been exercising about 4 times a week for 20 minutes for *months* now and might have dropped about 5 lbs. I recently changed the workout & it seems to be doing better, but I guess I'll have to change something in the diet too to see any real headway.
I don't think I could do the 12 meals, it's too hard to find things around 100. I do more like 200 every 3 hours (breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks), but then dinner is usually 500.
I probably need to loose about 30-40, but right now I'd be happy with half of that! Last time I started at the same weight and lost 25.
Just think of the regular cardio as good for your heart, even if you aren't seeing results. Changing your workout is a good idea too, as your body gets used to one thing after awhile. That is part of the 30 Day Shred, there are 3 different workouts. You are supposed to do each for 10 days and then move on to the next level.
I am always surprised, when I start counting calories, how much there is in things and how quickly they add up!
