Foccacia/Rosemary Loaves

Jun 24, 2008 13:51

All the vegan (and not so vegan) blogs I've been reading keep making yummy breads. I decided to try a foccacia but then realized that Josh really likes the bread from Macaroni Grill (which is a sort of foccacia loaf). I know there are a lot of copycat recipes and tried the first one I found on recipezaar, subbing vegan margarine for the butter. Besides taking nearly 3 hours to make it was very delicious. The bread wasn't very crusty on the outside, but was very tasty, especially with some olive oil and ground pepper for dipping.

That is fresh chopped rosemary on the top, I'm not sure why it looks so black in the photo.

Now I'm off to Flagstaff for a few days with nickyad and then further up north to visit my parents (if my siblings remember to come get me from Flag).
