It's already near the end of 2011? But, I barely got used to year "2011"?!

It seems I've been horrible at updating my lovely lj... but nothing terribly exciting happened. Worked a LOT at both Chapters and Coles. It started off as just covering shifts at Coles but I found out they were looking for someone and so I requested a transfer at the end of October... I am finally being transferred next week to Coles right after the new year. I will miss a bunch of people at Chapters but such is life. Coles has better (daytime) hours for me... for example this week 9-5 Monday-Friday with Saturday AND Sunday off!!! I did have to give up my Thursday shift at Coles though because I was scheduled at Chapters... but COME ON it's almost as if I work a normal office job! Monday-Friday 9-5 with the weekend off! Lol.

TBH, I have never understood the whole "largest party of the year" thing just because it's New Years... I mean being on the west coast of North America you're one of the last in the world to celebrate it... and Jan 1st is mostly (if not fully) over in countries like the Philippines. With that said, however, I still am hopeful with the new year... that the new year will be better than the last. Overall, I'd say I'm pretty content with my life. Sometimes it sucks... and for the most part I like my job. I do wish I got paid more (so I could afford to live on my own) but other than that I don't really have many complaints. I guess for necessity sake I do need to find a job that WILL pay for living on my own.

Things for 2012 and onwards:
- watch my spending and be more responsible financially.
- eat healthier and keep a calorie count to make sure I'm not over eating
- look into school (seriously)
- knit something for my mom (other than the shawl I'm still working on for her)
- be a more productive knitter (FINISH more projects than I start)
- stop hoarding things!
- stop buying things I won't use (I have a box of LUSH stuff from when I hoarded LUSH products... and I have a bin of yarn as I now hoard yarn)

Going through my closet I found hundreds of dollars worth of yarn, a bunch of clothing that has been used only once or NEVER and the tags are still attached, boxes for games, PSP box, bags, purses, more clothing, more yarn, knitting needles, half done projects, books, notebooks... this needs to STOP! I need to stop that. Spending on stuff that doesn't get used is a WASTE of money! I need to seriously STOP wasting my money.
