House Stuff
Tonight's excitement will be ripping out the rest of our basement floor, and possibly a visit from the contractor for a final quote on removing the adhesive. musicin68 and beltramgregor will join us for dinner, camaraderie, and the chance to try out the gorilla bar for its intended purpose.
We've got about a third of the tiles up already; my guess is we could have it all out by Monday. The room is clear but for the shelves at the back, and I'll be tackling those before dinner.
We hauled another two loads to the new place last night, shoveled the walk, and Alyssa assembled our gorgeous new TV stand.
Also, I've decided that I want one of the doors to open in the other direction (that is, into the other room), but I know that isn't a simple change, so it's going on the long-range repair planning list, between fixing the shed door and replacing the service door to the garage.
We seem to have a number of door-related projects at the new place. Huh.
