Just saw Psych ep "Dual Spires". It made me quite curious to see Twin Peaks. Considering how funny I found the ep just based on what I know from osmosis, I'd probably have a blast with it after seeing the show. (I wasn't allowed to when it first aired, and never got around to it later.)

Sorting is Serious Business

( At the booksale, Gus buys three medical biographies and a cookbook, which means he has to rearrange his bookshelves to make room for them. First he moves the detective stories. Then he moves the music books to the shelf for detective stories, but there aren't all that many music books so he moves the art books as well, making the shelf almost too full, but it'll have to do until he has more time. )

I've just written a short (~800 words) fic for the Psych Rare Pairings & Gen Commentathon. The fic is just about long enough that I'd prefer to have a beta reader for it. It's based on the prompt Gus, five things he keeps alphabetized. Anyone willing, please?

The latest Psych ep has reminded me of a conclusion I reached some time ago - that the cheerful tone of Psych is very brittle, and that this is probably the reason why h/c fics are so popular (and why I crave them myself). It's not because Shawn has issues - the characters of Leverage have issues too, and I have no particular desire to see them ( Read more... )

You know, watching Psych as a Shawn/Gus shipper is a constant rollercoaster ride between "OMG they are SO MARRIED!" and "if only fandom would STOP FREAKING IGNORING THAT."

At least I can trust the show to consistently provide me with the awesome. Not to mention the guest stars. ( Is this really spoilers? )
