Emma Stone got a Golden Globe nomination! YAAAAAY!
I wanted her to get one, but I didn't think they'd be wise enough to do it. :-)
I am surprised at some of the nominations/categories - The Kids are All Right is a comedy? No wonder I thought it lacked dramatic punch. Too bad it wasn't very funny. (I have the highest respect for Bening and Moore, and it was nice to see them as a lesbian couple, but, point. The film did not have it.)
I'm also totally rooting for The Illusionist as best animated feature, despite only having seen Despicable Me of the others. The minions may be cuter than the rabbit, but everything else The Illusionist wins hands down.
*Keeps reading* Piper Perabo is nominated for TV drama? Don't get me wrong, I really like Covert Affairs, and she's got the acting chops, but... bwuh? Is there a shortage of dramatic actresses? Because it's a pretty lightweight role so far.
On a sidenote, I rewatched Easy A with P, and while I still love the Mark Twain joke, I noticed that it doesn't make chronological sense, because the narration takes place at the end of the story, so the setup comes after the punchline... but I don't care, because it's funny. :-)
