computer issues, fannish stuff in Skåne, and looking for company
I still don't have a new monitor, but dad has lent me his travel computer, which is so tiny I have trouble writing on it. Perhaps it's just as well I don't have my fics on USB, I'd hate having to fic on this thing. Longhand works better for the time being. I can't work on my fansubs or watch TV, but at least I can read email and LJ from home again. Yay!
Being without a computer, I've been reminded how BAD the TV shows on actual TV are. When the most exciting thing on a Sunday night is celebrities eating bugs, the TV channels are doing something wrong. At least I've had some books to read.
Anyway, I haven't had much time to be bored, since there are all these things to do for Fantastisk Filmfestival (mostly hanging posters). I'll really enjoy watching some of the films, too! If any of my Swedish friends want to go with me, just leave a note - or you could come say hello to me in the ticket booth Friday, Sunday or the third day that's not quite decided yet.
Yesterday on one of the PR raids I discovered a poster for the Helsingborg sci-fi convention the first weekend of October. I usually don't bother about these things, because Swedish cons don't have much to offer, but with this year's guest combo (Warwick Davies Chris Sarandon and Danny Trejo - not so much Richard Kiel) I'd actually have some possible material for them to sign, so maybe I shouldn't frown on it. Is anyone else going? If so, like with FFF above, just leave a note. I doubt I'll bother going without company.
