It took me forever (thanks to some difficult chars), but I finally finished writing three things from my personal canon for every character someone asked of me. Here they are!

Undis (Ronja Rövardotter/Ronia the Robber's Daughter)

1.Undis is a robber's daughter. Her brothers are among Borka's band of robbers, and Borka himself is her second cousin. She's never understood Matt's insistance to marry a girl outside of his clan - but then, you could really expect anything from that lot.

2.When Birk ran away, Undis was sad, scared for him, and absolutely furious. She wasn't surprised, though. That boy always did have his own ideas about everything. From the first moment she saw the steady, blue eyes in his wrinkled little face, she knew this wouldn't be the traditional family tale of grow up, learn to whack things with a sword, become a robber chief. Borka never figured it out, but then, she's always been the one to do most of the thinking around the house.

3.Undis has had three miscarriages, and after Birk was born, she kicked Borka out of her bed once and for all. They had their heir, and she just couldn't stand the thought of going through all that hope and fear again. She was shocked to discover, during a conversation with Lovis, that the other woman was deliberately taking measures not to get pregnant.

Gunn (Angel)

1.Gunn never missed not having a dad growing up. He missed his mom after she died, and he really missed a roof over his head sometimes, but a dad? From what he could tell, most people he knew who had one seemed worse off because of it.

2.Gunn's always been closer to his female friends than his male ones. With guys, he usually feels the need to take over, be the leader. He's more comfortable and relaxed around women, whether it's a woman he's dating, like Fred, or a friend like Anne, Cordelia, Veronica... and of course he loved Alonna more than anything on earth. The only guy he's only felt that sort of connection to was Wesley, and even that went sour - once their mutual interest in Fred got into it, he became intensely aware that Wes was a guy trying to usurp his place.

3.Gunn likes knowing what's what, and he's never really been able to do that with Angel. He tried to keep his distance, but got sucked into Angel Investigations via the others. And that was all right at first, because he knew where he was with them. But once he'd had that falling-out with Wesley, and Fred and he had broken up, and Cordelia had been possessed... all the reasons he had for staying were gone, and he'd long since burned all his bridges. At that point, he was ready to agree to practically anything that gave him a place in the world.

Gunn (Angel - Birthdayverse)

1.Gunn cares more for Wesley than he's ever cared for a lover, but Alonna always comes first in his heart. You can't spend twenty years being someone's sole family and then let someone else matter more to you, just like that. If asked, though, he'd claim the opposite, because he knows that Alonna often just wants him to take a step back and relax already, while he has a feeling he'll never be able to love Wesley enough to satiate Wesley's immense hunger for appreciation. Doesn't mean he won't try, of course.

2.Gunn doesn't like being called ”gay”. He can't quite explain it, because it's not like he's ever been enough in love with a woman to definitely refute the idea, but he feels like gayness implies all these personality traits and knowledge and stuff, and he can't see himself fitting into that image. He's smart enough to know it's his own prejudice talking, but even so, ”gay” is fine for other people, but he's just a guy who has a boyfriend and likes to look at guys.

3.Gunn still prefers hitting things with an axe, but this spellcasting business is growing on him. It's kind of like building those stakes onto the truck. You figure out a solution, get the right parts, spend forever getting it ready, and eventually something explodes. The whole setup and payoff business builds suspense, and if it's a different kind of thrill from just fighting something, it's a thrill never the less.

selenak wished for:

Nathan (Heroes)

1.Nathan truly loves Heidi, but he has cheated on her several times over the years. It's never been anything long term; he finds the idea of a mistress vaguely undignified. He just uses flirtation as a standard mode of communication with any woman he likes, and sometimes it leads to more. He never used to feel very guilty about it before the accident.

2.He's always known exactly what was up with his father's so-called heart attacks, and he's never been able to understand it. Oh, that life can be a piece of crap, a burden more than a gift, he knows that. But to openly admit defeat like that? The thought is alien and horrifying to him, and he's grateful that he doesn't understand. It's bad enough that his father, whom he hero-worshipped, tried to do it not once, but several times. He's scared to death of ever finding himself in that place, though he tells himself that he's too stubborn for that ever to happen. He hopes the same is true of Peter, though sometimes he's not too sure... and he doesn't know which thought frightens him the most.

3.He loves flying. He hates being able to fly, the dangers and problems it brings and the way people like Peter and Hiro Nakamura seem to think it makes him responsible for making the world a better place. But he loves flying. Soaring through the air at the speed of sound, with the world far below and no longer a concern to him... there's nothing like it. It's better than sex, and for Nathan Petrelli, that's saying a lot.

Nathan (Heroes - fic)

This is all stuff that happens after he comes home, since that won't make it into the fic. :-)

1.Nathan finds it easier than he expected to get back in with his family. He tells Heidi everything about his powers and nothing about his indiscretions, and it seems to be a good call. The kids love having him there. He tries to spend as much time with them as possible, and judging by certain things they've said, that's a rare experience for them. Sometimes he's grateful that he still doesn't have all his memories - it saves him a lot of guilt.

2.He can't go back to politics. For one thing, he has too many skeletons in the closet, and there's only so many lies you can tell once you've come back from the dead. For another, he feels like an alien every time he tries to socialize with the old crowd. There was a dinner party that worked pretty well until their host brought up the clash of civilizations. Angela is the only one who still pushes him to go to these functions, and he's become pretty good at tuning her out. He wishes he knew his place in the world, though. Doing nothing may work for Peter, but it makes him restless, and he's not to keen on all this saving-the-world talk.

3.He tries to distance himself from his life as Kalle. It gets too complicated if he has to be both people at once. Once he gets home, he arranges to have the Mansours financially compensated for their trouble, but beyond that, he makes no attempt to contact them. He thinks of them, often, fondly, but the past remains the past - at least until an email with the sender address "qingofmalmo@hotmail.com" pops up in his inbox. He stares at it for a full minute before he opens it and replies, and before long, he has half a dozen new contacts and knows everything that has been going on since he left.
"It's about time," says Peter when he finds out. "You're such a jackass sometimes."

azarsuerte wished for:

Miranda (Mysterious Ways)

1.Miranda is pretty certain Lisa would like to go out with her. It's a comforting idea, though she's not sure what she'd say if Lisa actually went ahead and asked. Maybe she should say yes. She does like Lisa, and it seems unlikely anything is ever going to happen with Declan.

2.Miranda doesn't miss the free-spirited personality she got after the toaster accident, but sometimes she misses playing the violin. She even went as far as to start taking classes - after all, music is a mathematical excercise. But it sounded horrible, and she's not patient enough to put up with the noise for years in the hope that it'll eventually turn into something more pleasant. She does listen to violin music, though, usually before bedtime. It may be trite, but she loves the Four Seasons.

3.Miranda is so tired of this discussion of believing or not believing in miracles. Miracles are just things that haven't been explained yet, and while humanity has come far, it's only reasonable to expect some things to still be too much to understand. Everything has an explanation. If the explanation would turn out to be God - well, it would be awesome to have positive proof of His existence, but she's not holding her breath.

go_back_chief wished for:

Danjel (Utvandrarna/The Emigrants)

1.Danjel is quite afraid of Ulrika. Oh, he's happy to have converted her, considers her a sister in faith, and even admires her fervour, but she's so... much. He has a niggling feeling that if Ulrika took to contradicting the Word of God, he wouldn't dare to argue with her. The thought makes him remorseful. He's supposed to be able to face roaring lions. He was able to face the vicar. But he can't face Ulrika.

2. After all the years in America, he still doesn't feel quite comfortable there. It's not homesickness, as such. Sweden was a horrible oppressive place and he's glad to be rid of it. Almost. He just wished he could feel more at home. He tells himself that it's no matter, since they're all bound for Heaven, but sometimes, it feels like a very long wait.

3.He'd been speaking to his congregation about persecution, hardships, martyrdom, but somehow he still believed everything would be all right - until his wife died. It was an important lesson in modesty, and he's certain the loss will make him a better person, but still... somehow life is much more bewildering now.

wee_warrior wished for:

Lassiter (Psych)

1.After his divorce, Lassiter started thinking about getting a dog. He no longer does. Having O'Hara, Spencer, and Guster in the same room is like being surrounded by a bunch of puppies anyway, so what's the point? He has found that it's good for his blood pressure to think of them that way. Puppies. Not their fault if they piss on the carpet. At least they solve roughly the same amount of cases as your average police dog. Spencer somewhat more, but then, he's annoying enough to make up for it.

2.Lassiter doesn't like being called Lassie. Of course not. But there's a limit to how riled up he can get about it. The way he sees it, things started going downward when he was named Carlton.

3.Though he can't get O'Hara to grasp such a simple fact, Lassiter really doesn't want to cut loose. Oh, from time to time he'll get a desire to "let his hair down" so to speak, but for the most part he wants to be uptight. He loves being able to rely on routine. For the times when that's not satisfying... well, there's always Spencer to stir things up.

ticketsonmyself wished for:

Robin Wood (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

1.Robin did take a year at the Watchers' Academy at 18, but got into trouble when he started sleeping with the current Slayer. He wasn't kicked out, as such, but he had a couple of talks with Travers and with Crowley, and everyone thought it best if he worked more freelance.

2.Robin was six the first time he remembers someone calling him ”Niki's mistake”. He was ten when the muttered remarks from the Watchers made him confront Crowley and hear the whole story. It took him two weeks to forgive Crowley for ever having advocated an abortion. He wasn't as upset at the Watchers who had actually tried to force Niki to have one. It didn't matter what they thought. They weren't family.

3.Robin learned many things from Crowley. Most of them were from Crowley-the-Watcher. Two very important ones were from Crowley-the-plastic-surgeon. The first was that many pretty girls used to be plain girls, and even more pretty girls thought they were plain girls. That made dating a lot less nerve-wrecking. The other was an extension of this knowledge: Things aren't always what they seem.
