Sadly, Yulia Tymoshenko is no longer the prime minister of Ukraine (I still want to say "the Ukraine," damn habits!).
However, her site and fashion style still offer entertainment value. And so, for
antiscian's pleasure, I'm going to post a series of pictures there that amused me.
When she first adopted the peasant plait, journalists wanted proof that her hairstyle was real:
http://www.tymoshenko.com.ua/eng/ I only wish I could see the rest of that blouse, but I love the detailing.
Yep, everyone remembers this one. (Look at those heels!)
Hmmm, Star-Wars-ish. In fact, she really dresses like a George Lucas character sometimes, doesn't she? Anyway, I think that's her Valentine's Day campaign trail outfit.
I like all the ruffles.
Rather more understated, but I like it anyway.
Sometimes, I guess, it helps to look... pink?
Okay, I'm not actually condoning this outfit, as it is dumpy and ugly. But I enjoy that she was so playing up the idea of the Orange Revolution by dressing in orange, and that the outfit is self-consciously peasant-inspired.
More orange.
By far the coolest orange outfit. Not so much the leather jacket, but the shirt with (as far as I can tell) "Revolution" printed up its sleeves and the nationalistic wheat branches? I wonder where she got it.
And I'll leave you with this demure ladylike number.
