We were so saddened to hear of the death of Stephen Sondheim. Apart from Shakespeare he is the person whose works I have seen most often in the theatre, which seems fitting somehow. I was very sad to see the BBC newsflash that Sir Ian Holm has died. He will always be both Frodo and Bilbo to me, but also many other characters from big film parts to his wonderful Pod in the BBC version of The Borrowers.

More attempted clearing and sorting of the house at the weekend. We had so much paperwork to sort out from my parents' house that we have rather neglected sorting our own.
