Sorry not to be around too much at the moment. I am reading LJ but making an entry seems to be beyond my capabilities at the moment as life has been a little fraught. My mum is still very unwell and is now in hospital, which to be frank is quite a relief. It's possible that her problems are at least partly caused by the mix of medication she's having to take, so the hospital is trying to sort that out and hopefully will manage to do so, but as she's 87 it's all very worrying.
Fortunately life is not all doom and gloom. I've just been taking some day adult education courses on 15th century history which have provided a very enjoyable way of keeping my mind occupied. Admittedly it's mostly been on things I already knew but it's nice to know that I could still mostly remember it all. The last course was on Richard III and there was really too much material for just one day. We were intending to vote on innocent v. guilty but a final vote was never taken. At the start of the course it was 5 for guilty, 5 for innocent and 15 undecided. I ended up as undecided veering towards guilty...don't shoot me anybody. Just to remind myself I always used to be on the innocent side I found the Horrible Histories Richard III song, which says it all really.
