Okay, here's my first attempt at dictating to my shiny new Dragon voice-to-type software. Several words I never said and random typos that I tried to correct using Dragon rather than with my keyboard but it's mostly coherent:
Have to train your Dragon deletes or
Hal to train your Dragon.
How to train your Dragon. Her time is apparently the charm. This is a little ridiculous. I could not speak more slowly or even see it more if I tried. That last sentence was supposed to say he NCE's E. enunciate. This is going to be interesting.
It reminds me of an elementary school play. I am talking sans slow but if they talked faster or it starts throwing in random words. It actually wrote "growing" (doodads but corrected it to "throwing" so it at least has that going for it. I've been using it for less than 10 minutes and it a ready driving me nuts. I have at least figured out how to italicize and produce bold text. But it sometimes gives me trouble with the words italic and bold. It also resents background noise I can practically taste my microphone it is so close to my mouths. Apparently I grew an extra mouth when I was not looking since it chose to turn the word now into the word-of-mouth is. Yes this is so fun. Only you know not. It took me four tries to get the program to italicize the word "knocked".
I think this program is going to need a great deal mortuary in an (train and -- training) before I can speak in anything resembling natural manner while writing with its,, but it does work better than I thought.
During cold coming goal total star -- it does not like singing as that what is actually me saying "twinkle, twinkle Little Star"... I have no idea why it chose to capitalize its. Pâté, it's not crazy it's just a little unwell. The autopunctuation his needs (is needs -- is meet -- is meet -- is me -- meet meet new needs need to -- I guess it doesn't like my and no sounds).
This could take some getting used to and a lot of work. But it should still come in handy eventually.
I am faintly reminded of trying to tune a radio and getting words from another broadcast in with the actual one. Maybe I should try it with a different accent? Writing fic with this thing is going to be a royal bitch, lol :D
