Unboxing - dm Lieblinge January 2014

Jan 15, 2014 21:21

My last "dm Lieblinge" box arrived today ;_;

What is it?
Every three month you can enter your name for the box balloting HERE. In the form you fill in you enter the dm store where you want to pick up your box, then they send you an e-mail to activate the whole balloting process and hope for the best.

There are 5000 slots available and I don't know how many people enter their names in the lottery, but I guess it must be 100.000 or more. About five days later you find out if you were lucky. If so, you can pick up a box for the next three months in the dm store you chose. Each box costs 5 € and has a value of 20 to 45 €, but of course you don't know what's in it before you open it ;-)

In the October 2013 balloting Carsten's name was drawn, so I got three boxes and was a happy camper. If your name was drawn once, you can't participate in the next round, which started today at 10 AM and will run until tomorrow morning 9:59 AM (in case you want to try your luck too. 5 € per month for beauty products you might not need at all isn't that much money. Last month the "WTF???? product" were condoms, usually it doesn't get that bad).

The box comes in a bigger parcel (not shown) and then you see the actual box.

The content is wrapped once more and protected by styrofoam.

This months content:

And a close up:

So, was it worth the 5 €?
- dm bag reusable (2 €)
- Maybelline "Better Skin" Make-up (11.85 €)
- Pantene Pro-V hair oil (6.75 €)
- blend-a-med tooth paste (2.65 €)
- Astor Lipcolor Butter (5.85 €)
- Aussie 3 minute Miracle Shine hair treatment (7.95 €)

The hair oil and the make-up are nice, but in the first box of this run we already had the same product class, though from another company. Hair oil and make-up usually last for three month at least.
The bag is good and of course the tooth paste is quite useful. The lipstick doesn't look that pinkish, but I think it is (name of the colour is "Pretty in Fuchsia").
As for the hair treatment, we'll see how that make my hair shine or not, but I strongly dislike the fact that there is not a SINGLE German word on the whole bottle. If a company from Australia wants to sell their stuff here, fine with me, but at least write somewhere "Shampoo" <-- good German word ;-) or "Spülung" or "Haarkur" -.-;;;;
