While most people in the western world are probably inside today or on some Christmas market, I spent the last 2.5 hours in the garden and removed the biggest part of the rose hips - at least on the surface.
We still have to remove ALL the roots in this area (which is going to take forever and a day...) and next spring I want to make a lovely flower bed with different flowers in that place.
Then I counted the metres of borders I'll need for the new flower beds.
Step 1: ~ 14 metres (inner circle)
Step 2: another 20 metres (outer circle)
Step 3: another 100 metres+ (for everything else in the garden)
I should tell that my family that I'm no longer interested in normal presents, but instead I'm happy about a few metres of that border ^^;;;;;;;;;;
I've yet not decided which one we'll use, as there are so many different ones and most cost 5 €+ per metre (there are some that cost 20 €+ too, but I'm not going to spend a fortune on "simple" borders for flower beds)
