After one night in our hotel, we went to Sellin (about 3 km) away the next morning. We planned to take the guided tour through the city.
As we were there quite early, we first went to the Pier in Sellin, looked around a bit and then went to the meeting point.

Baltic Sea with the other side of the island Rügen.

The pier once more. As you can see there are many, many steps to get down there...

Across from the meeting point was this random fish. Let's just call him Jonas _._

This is the "Kurwaltung", which now hosts administrative parts of the city and used to be a bath house. Our tour started there. As you can see, the weather was only maa-maa at this point, but got better soon afterwards. The sunny sky lasted almost until the end of the tour. The rain basically set in after we said our good-byes *ggg*

From now on there will be a few pictures of hotels and houses used as hotels along the "Wilhelmstraße", which is the main street in Sellin. Most of those houses are built in the resort architecture.

Yes, this serves as hotel too, but tries to look as if it's from Finland/Sweden/Norway.

Last, but not least, something for the Russian understanding people on my f-list. Go headdesk in 3, 2, 1... now!

For those how don't speak/read Russian:
The Russian letters read "tschai kovsky". "Tchai" is the Russian word for tea. "Kovsky" a common ending for names from Russia/Poland.
And of course you all know Tchaikovsky. Go figure. We rolled our eyes. Several times.
