Okay, I've decided. Once my lease is up, I'm moving. It's the work commute. It's an hour, which really isn't too bad, even though when most people hear that they're all, oh my god, an hour?! That's so far! But it's really okay, I don't mind. I have my kickass sound system, the hour flies by pretty fast.

But I have to drive on Death Trap Road every day. Last week someone got run over and the road became a parking lot for half an hour. Today, it was a fatal head-on collision and I was forty seven minutes late for work, that's how long I sat there -- and I turned the engine off, too. I was flipping through all the local radio stations to see if any of them were mentioning it in the traffic reports, only one was. They were all, "Fatal accident on Farm Road 2004 north of Chocolate Bayou, all lanes are blocked." Me: "Of course they are, there's only two of them." It's like they think that road is a freeway or something. It should be, though, there's a ton of traffic on it, but there's only two lanes -- one for each direction.

So anyway, once I finally get past it, driving in the grass, I see a green pickup truck in the road with its front end completely smashed in. And a white car in the grass on the other side from me. That car? Looked like Godzilla had played hackeysack with it. It was a wad of metal, not a car. I don't think anybody walked away from that one.

So that's it. I'm sick of risking my life on that road every day. I'm surprised I'm still alive, considering the odds. I've been run off the road three times, that's the extent of my close calls with accidents there. I'm moving.
