Or at least under my desk. We just had a 4.2 earthquake. Pretty much one big jolt and it was over. Just a typical day by the Bay. My co-worker felt it in Emeryville and says it scared the dogs.

The number of people on my F-list, or that I'm booking travel for, who in talking about the earthquake in DC, don't even REMEMBER Loma Prieta. They're too young to have been watching the World Series that night, OR to even have heard about it.

Excuse me while I schedule some Bo-tox.

4.4 earthquake. Two quick jolts. We definitely felt it at my office.

Very long time ago. Mid-70's. I was on a cruise with my family, and back then Port Au Prince was once of the main ports of call for most the cruise ships doing the Caribbean.
