Chase threw himself at House and was surprised to land safely in his boss’s arms.
He accepted House’s casual contempt, no different in bed than at the office. Only now House could shut him up with a ruthless kiss or simply by pushing his head down, occasionally praising his technique as though it were a unique diagnosis. Even when he was positioning himself over House, endlessly surprised by what the so-called cripple could do, it was really House giving Chase what he so desperately needed. There was only one thing he wanted in return.
