Biking to work-with the Tour De France in my mind.

Cross-posted to dailyexercise, because my own silliness amuses me.

Yes, while slogging along at a whopping 5 or 6 miles an hour, if I'm lucky, I actually dream I'm riding for Garmin Cervello and that Paul and Phil are narrating my epic struggle. I'm climbing hills (sometimes even in 2nd gear) for King of the Mountains points, including my own personal Alpe d'Huez, the Fort Mason hill, both sides of it, although that one is strictly first gear. I also sprint for Green Jersey points when I try to make a green light so I won't have to stop.

It was pretty damn windy today, so I actually felt like I was going in super slo-mo. I turned later than I should so I was late to work. Hopefully this doesn't mean I was dropped from the race. Tonight I ride home, which is more like riding with the peloton.

Distance 13.19 miles
Riding time: 1 hour 54 minutes
Door to door time: 1 Hour 56 minutes.

I'll try to get in some extra miles tonight on the way home. I'd like to get up to a 20 mile day, but that might mean getting up earlier than the carcass is capable of.
