on a more serious note, birds eat grasshoppers. ever thought of putting out a birdfeeder to attract the birds?

Someone else suggested chickens to eat the grasshoppers.. but then I'd have to get coyotes to eat the chickens when I get too many, and a mountain lion to eat the coyotes, and a bear to fight the mountain lion and the next thing I know I'll be selling tickets and popcorn and I'll have an all-out gladiator ring in my backyard and I just can't deal with that. :P
