I had a great, nay kick-ass, weekend.  On Saturday Tua and I wrote - I, a sermon and Tua, field notes for class.  Then in mid-afternoon we switched gears and did some garden work.  Tua got the fence halfway up, and I helped a bit, but mostly weeded.  In the evening we had a bonfire with Tua's dad and brothers, and toasted marshmallows and ate s' ( Read more... )

I preached a sermon on baptism yesterday, and everybody seemed to love it.  I thought I had terrible posture, looked like I was reading, and made innumerable mistakes, but folks said no to all those things, plus they loved the content.  Two years ago, if you'd told me I'd be preaching and loving it, I would have laughed at you.  Now I don't know ( Read more... )
