T suggested sending all my photos to iCloud to remedy the situation, to get them off the old phone and onto the new phone.  That did work, although I had to pony up 99 cents/month for enough space.

OTOH, I can't use iCloud for my music, I have way too much legacy music in my library, so I had to figure out how to turn that off for the new phone.  ( Read more... )
