to iCloud, and not to iCloud
T suggested sending all my photos to iCloud to remedy the situation, to get them off the old phone and onto the new phone. That did work, although I had to pony up 99 cents/month for enough space.
OTOH, I can't use iCloud for my music, I have way too much legacy music in my library, so I had to figure out how to turn that off for the new phone. After trying some randomly illogical things, I eventually turned it off, and I'm loading my 9000 songs to the phone. After that I'll load some of my porn library to the phone. I got the 512GB model so I could stuff it with photos, music, and porn. Maybe after all the photos from all my devices have synced, I'll turn off iCloud for photos again and have copies of them all on the phone like before.

T went to urgent care, they gave him some additional cough medicine, and I told him he could use the Albuterol every 4 hours instead of the 6 hours his nurse advised. They say bronchitis, not pneumonia. Now we'll see whether I catch it from him or not. The worst was probably sharing the car with him, but that couldn't be helped. Better me than some random Lyft driver.
Meanwhile, T finalized his trip to Asia, so he'll be gone for K's last weekend in town, so I may get to have K over to the house after all.

OK -- now warming up for toys at the condo. I'll try to clean up the place before I head out tomorrow, although it's not that bad, I could probably get away without cleaning anything at all, except for the floor, sink, and toilet. A couple of times K has had to make do without cleaning, because of my car crash and because I had COVID. Once I dig into the cleaning it won't take long, maybe one hour, maybe a bit longer. It's no more complex than cleaning the house before people come over, I just don't clean the condo as often as the house, and the condo never gets the Maids treatment, so there's more dusting needed, sometimes the tub needs scrubbing -- although at this point the tub is a lost cause and the bathroom needs an update. Right now I'm thinking I'll clean in the morning and just relax today after taking care of T last night and this morning. Have an extended solo birthday party, since I didn't get to go to brunch this morning. And after today I'll have little chance for Time to Self until October.
There is the laundry issue for the bedding, I could duck down there this afternoon to see whether a machine is available, but it might be best late tonight or early tomorrow. Or just take the stuff home and do it there, but then I need to come back. I think I need a new card reader to do laundry here. Ideally I would've grabbed all the bedding last weekend and brought it back today, but last weekend I was social :-)
