I finally felt like doing something, so I went to the local MoCo Greens website and found it hadn't been updated in a long time, and gave me no info on when/where the next meeting might be. It had a form to fill out for more info, so I filled it out. I've heard nothing back yet.
Well, Baltimore isn't that far away, they also have a local Green Party group, so I looked up their website. Not only was it up to date, listing the Zoom meeting for next month, but when I signed up to attend the meeting I received a confirmation email right away.
So ... I'm signed up to attend the April monthly meeting of the Baltimore Greens via Zoom. Maybe after all this talk of moving to Michigan or New Mexico or wherever, I'll just end up in Baltimore when I retire, heh. Some people commute to their DC jobs from Baltimore -- and my friend Steve lives in Baltimore -- if I only had to commute twice per week maybe I'd move there before I retire -- but for now I'm OK holding down the house & condo while T works 50% in NY and K lives in Portland.
MoCo has more registered Greens than Baltimore, but Baltimore is engaged while MoCo is asleep.
And before anybody launches a "wasted vote" attack on me, Baltimore's Democrats outnumber Republicans more than 10 to 1, there's zero danger of a Green vote for a local candidate there letting a Republican win.
