Internet Restored

Mar 30, 2022 20:38

Our house Internet returned around 2pm, while I was about halfway through my class. I was attending the Zoom session via telephone, and it worked out OK because I didn't really need to see the slides to follow the lecture.

And T was able to play his online video game in between bouts of vomiting. This evening he seems to be doing a bit better, he was able to hold down some oyster crackers and rehydration fluid. Not sure whether it was food poisoning or norovirus, but I'm leaning toward food poisoning from whatever he ate while downtown yesterday. He's not so sure, so he's not filing a complaint like I did when I got food poisoning.

So, I guess I don't have to go to the condo to work tomorrow, but I'm thinking of taking Friday off for some Time to Self at the condo, and maybe that means heading to the condo tomorrow night so I can wake up there on Friday, we'll see.

As T wasn't eating much today, I didn't cook dinner, I drove to Taco Bell instead. When I returned, he wanted to watch an hour of TV, which was fun.

Oh it is so nice to be caught up with work! I expect the next two weeks to be busy again, however.

Not sure when B is returning from visiting the in-laws after a relative passed away. Maybe by the weekend to spend time with T, we'll see.

When the Internet was down this morning, and we couldn't even log into our Verizon account, I wondered whether the cyberwar had begun. I saw a news story that quoted a Verizon worker as saying a third party had accidentally cut through a data cable, so perhaps that was the cause. But the Verizon Fios outage map still shows a lot of people on the East Coast don't have their Internet back yet, so ...
