"if you go, you will catch a cold"
Spoke with Public Health Friend about going to the Spanking Party later this month. I said, "I'm boosted, so I probably have the highest immunity I'll ever have without actually having had COVID!"
He said I could catch COVID anyway, and that other cold and flu viruses are also circulating. He said it is likely if I go I'll at least catch a cold, because I haven't had any respiratory infection in at least 20 months.
Recalling that of T's three trips since COVID began, he's come home with a cold twice.
And then 5 days later would be Turkey Day with the family, do I want to expose myself to a cold or something else 5 days before Turkey Day?
Public Health Friend said, "Choose your exposure events wisely. Do you want to have a cold for Turkey Day, or would you rather catch a cold on Turkey Day? If you resume socializing, you will catch a cold."
Ugh.
Maybe this Recon guy tomorrow can be my replacement for the monthly Spanking Party.
