holy crap, and he repaid the bill,
I made him watch The Man Who Fell to Earth,
and later, he made me watch The Last Temptation of Christ,
-----
There's a subtext in my life, in my facing of triggers, of the movies my father made me watch with him.
It was very important to him, to take me out to the movies.
But very specific movies.
So, I'm very specific about my movies. I watch them with special people, or I watch them because they are special.
There's not much other video I'm interested in.
My father taught me, that film is very important, so don't watch so much of it. Read. Read.
My father kept thousands of books in our house. I grew up amongst a library.
This is why I am who I am, because I grew up amongst my father's library.
Thousands of books in our house, about history, and economics, and my mother threw in the science fiction. We had encyclopedias, and I read these encyclopedias from cover to cover. Starting with A.
I was my father's boy. He wanted me to read, to read, to consume knowledge, to become a knowledge professional. He pitched me into the world, with his own top spin, with all these books,
and then the computers,
it really screwed him up that I wasn't a boy,
in high school, I had my male sex partners, my high school male sex partners, sleep over in my room, where we fucked,
in college, in grad school, I had my male sex partners, sleep over in my room, where we fucked,
but one night I had a female friend of mine sleep over, because it was late, and we were watching HBO in the living room, so, I pulled out the sleeper sofa, I piled pillows in between us, and we slept together, LOL, she slept over, LOL, the pillow WALL protected us from each other,
And my father was pissed off. WTF, I was already gay by then, he knew that I was gay by then, but he was pissed off because a female friend of mine slept over. I'd been fucking my guy friends in my room, and he didn't care a bit. Fuck.
This is the taboo I grew up with. Girls were bad. But watching my Dad pee was fine. Having my boyfriends over was fine. WTF.
