Does anyone know of a great place to get a car stereo installed? I got one for Christmas and I still haven't been able to get it installed. I really don't want to go to Best Buy because every time I call they either can't get me in for a week or they don't have a part that's needed for my car. Where can I get a flat tire patched downtown, on the cheap?  In the past I've always relied on Lonnie's in Independence, but not wanting to drive that far on our spare, I'm in need of something downtown.  Suggestions?

I need to find a front end piece for my 1988 Crown Vic, and it's obviously a pain to pull out alone.  I was told that there are places that will pull it for you but have looked on the internet with no luck.  Some help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Does anybody know of a junk yard type place where they have a bunch of old cars and you can go through and pull out the part that you need for your car?

I am having the stupidest problem ever, it seems.

My rear blinker/break light is out. Easy to replace, RIGHT? Nope. I have tried everything humanly possible to get the dang plastic thing out (see pic). I even took it to an auto parts store to see if they could wiggle it out. Nope, not even prying it out with a damn screwdriver at the other end. ( Read more... )

Can anybody here make a suggestion about where to buy a used car? I'm on craiglist everyday...my success so far has been dubious at best. The first one I went to see after being assured it was GREAT had a cracked windshield and no passenger seat. The second was GREAT and would NOT GO INTO reverse. Hey everyone - I can't seem to get my car started.  I can turn the key and hear the clicks but the engine doesn't turn over.  I'm pretty sure it's the battery since it hasn't been replaced in about 4-5 years.  Problem is, I have no way to get to an auto store to pick up a new one and once I have it home, I don't have the tools to install it ( Read more... )
