Just finished watching GI Joe - so much fun! But I wish I hadn't known JP was offered Duke's part... Was hella distracting wishing it HAD been him.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is so not a great movie... but I'll watch it every time I stumble onto it on TV, 'cause daaaaaaamn "Special Agent" Tom Sawyer pushes oh so many of my buttons. Buddy angst. Daddy angst. And damn hot. It's a win. :D

There's nothing on today, and as I'm enjoying a lazy day the TV ended up on one of the nine thousand Encore channels (the teenager one, embarassingly enough). They've now managed two movies in a row with the whole ugly duckling theme, and it's reminding me of a pet peeve I have with these kinds of movies ( Read more... )

I know it's been panned by every critic (I expected this) and tons of folks I know won't like it, but dudes! Hokey, bombastic, silly, cringe-worthy humor, (probably) unintentional SW "homages" and all - T2 was tons of fun. Wheeeeeee!

Also, I need the score to this one (I loved the first one). *nodnod*

Anyone else remember Lonesome Dove? AMC's airing it today, and I got sucked in. I loved it when I first saw it years ago, but haven't seen it in ten years or more. IOW, I've not seen it since I really put on my slash colored glasses. Cause Lonesome Dove? Pretty dang slashy, y'all.

Apparently I really do occasionally just want a movie where shit blows up and the men are hot.

It's apparently asking too much that a movie about Germans in WW2 have any character that speaks with a German accent, isn't it? Not that it starring Tom Cruise wasn't enough reason to skip it in the first place. ;)

For lack of anything on TV tonight, I'm watching The Lake House.

Did anyone else watch this movie, and if so, did you spent the lot of it wanting to shake Kate for not just GOOGLING Alex to try and find him and then know either way? I mean, SERIOUSLY woman.
