movie pet peeve
There's nothing on today, and as I'm enjoying a lazy day the TV ended up on one of the nine thousand Encore channels (the teenager one, embarassingly enough). They've now managed two movies in a row with the whole ugly duckling theme, and it's reminding me of a pet peeve I have with these kinds of movies...
As a girl with curly hair who wears glasses, it gets really old that the movie way of making a girl unattractive and an outcast is to - drum roll - give her fluffy, curly hair and glasses! Every time!
Then, of course, she is magically made desirable and acceptable by straightening her hair and putting in contacts.

(Um, but at least one post from me isn't about TW? I'm hiding from TW, atm.)
