Finally, after a day of NO INTERNET (omg onoz!) the FIL and I got around to watching Supernatural's triumphant post-hiatus return.

I don't actually have a lot of thoughts. This episode, while quite good, gave me not much in the way of reasons to squee and draw sparkly hearts. I did love the "know-it-all" exchange, and Dean's outrage at having his wheels messed with, though.

But basically my reaction is "Whoa, with the creepy." Have I ever mentioned to you guys that "Home" is my least favorite X-Files episode? Because yeah. *shudders* But I approve of the creepy and scary nature of the ep, and the really lovely way it was shot, acted, and put together.

Speaking of which, this was one pretty episode, wasn't it? The scenes where the boys are doing their initial investigation are gorgeous and the scenes in the dark house are gorgeously underlit. I question the odd use of night-vision for the brief scene in the basement with Danny and the girl...and the rat, of course. *squirms* That was sort of an odd choice, I thought, but whatever, I suppose I should be grateful that i didn't have to see the rat-eating part in full color.

And I just do not know how much more I can take of Dean's Hell angst. I really do not. It just hurts too freaking much. It gives me owies! *cocoons self in Care Bear band-aides* Stop giving me owies, Show!

Because my brain simply cannot stay serious for a whole forty minutes, and because the final scene was too filled with PAIN to deal with, my brain came up with an alternate final scene in the spirit of my Generic Supernatural Episode parody scripts:

DEAN: Wow, there are some unsettling parallels between me and this week's monster. I am going to have serious angst brought on by this fact.

SAM: Now you know how I felt during all of Season 2.

IMPALA: I'm glad you guys always include me in the post-hunt debriefs but I'm starting to worry that all the angst is actually going to affect my paint job.
