Just had a visit from one of the parishioners.  She's 89 years old, and still lives independently.  Having so many older folks around is like having a bunch of grandmothers and grandfathers.  It's kind of cool actually.  I get all kinds of advice, and stories from the past.  There are maybe two out of the lot that I would prefer not having to talk ( Read more... )

aka Dexter Cornelius Hapsgood III, my mom's basset hound, has crossed over. We have no idea exactly when this happened. Mom found his lifeless body in the yard Monday afternoon. Just finished listening to a popular writer's murder mystery. I'm disappointed. Of course the "bad guy" - "girl" in this case was killed in the end. Besides the fact that she was a serial killer - I actually liked her, and was hoping she'd come out on top in the end.
